Web World Wide

This is an edit (6/17/2026) to the original article named: The Terminal. I renamed my blog and the organization behind it (Terminal Eighty) to Web World Wide.

This is a new blog by me, really just for me. I have a lot of ideas and opinions on technology and its implications on the world and on culture. I would love for people to read, but at the end of the day, this is all kind of therapeutic in a sense.

So why do it if no one needs to read it? Well, I could say it’s because I am not vain. That would be a lie, because then this blog wouldn’t be public… The real reason is that you can’t improve if you don’t try. Everyone online now seems to have a product that is almost perfect from the get-go. Amateur on YouTube now means you have a $2,000 Sony Camera with two studio lights. Influence online means you have a large social media presence, and you blog or write for the extra revenue. This isn’t meant to sound spiteful. In fact, don’t hate the player, hate the game—and currently, there are a lot of good players in a game many people don’t like. So why not just write and see where it takes me? I currently have a YouTube channel where I am trying to post more. But other than that, I don’t have any other social media (for now). That alone is a topic on its own.

So what is up with the name “Web World Wide”? One of the first pieces of media that really showed me the World Wide Web was The Fairly OddParents episode: “Information Stupor Highway.” In it Timmy is able to fly around the web and experience all of these things. The episode came out in January 2003 and now shows a more bygone era of the web. I want this to site to be like my corner of the internet for my blog and projects. The way The Fairly OddParents showed me it could be.

Anyway, that’s how I wanted to introduce myself. I really hope you enjoy my writing as much as I enjoy writing this stuff myself. Also, please reach out (method of contact still a little TBD)! I love being able to talk with like-minded people about various topics. If you disagree, let me know your thoughts (kindly) as it’s always good to have various perspectives.
